The findings:
- 83% of employees say they feel recognized at work
- 20% say their boss had shown appreciation for their work within the last week, and 22% report it happening a few times a week
- Verbal and digital thanks are the most common forms of recognition, but pay increases and bonuses are the most desired
- 49% of employees say they’d quit their job due to a lack of recognition
- Of the employees who don’t feel valued by their companies, just 20% are constantly engaged, and 79% are burned out. And in line with the “Great Resignation,” 65% plan to leave their job within a year.
If you want to keep your staff intact (and attract new, quality workers), the key is to value and reward your employees.
