Take These Measures to Prevent Burnout in a Hybrid Workplace

Finding the right balance between your work and home lives can be a tricky prospect, and that’s become even more true the hybrid workplace has become more popular. Want proof? More than ¾ of employees in one survey said they check work email during non-work hours, and 13 percent said they check work email from bed, before they even begin their day!

Part of the problem might be that the idea of balance is elusive — and so, a better approach to finding a healthy ratio of work and home might be to focus on setting boundaries between the two. Doing so isn’t just helpful for the individual workers, either; but can also help the business, since researchers have found that, while excessive working hours can lead to depression, heart disease, and an increase in occupational injuries, it’s also linked to decreased productivity overall.
