A few weeks ago we told you about the latest beverage trends. Here are some more things you need to know if you own a bar or a restaurant.

British alcohol company Drinks House 247 just released a report of the most popular drinks in the U.S. by state based on Google research. And Drinks House 247 says people are more interested in drinking in the summer, so make sure your bar is well stocked with these cocktails.

Overall, the Old Fashioned was the most popular cocktail in the country–—topping the list in nine states. Here’s the full breakdown:

  • Old Fashioned: Alaska, Delaware, Idaho, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota
  • Margaritas: Connecticut, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, and Tennessee
  • Moscow Mules: Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, and North Carolina
  • Negroni: California, New York, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington
  • Mimosas: Colorado, Michigan, and Mississippi
  • Long Island Iced Tea: Iowa, Montana, and Oklahoma
  • Cosmopolitan: Nevada, Rhode Island, and Utah

While it seems the country embraces a diversity of cocktails, Reza Zadeh, the founder of Drinks House 247 points out that “it’s clear that vodka is the country’s most universally favored base liquor.”
